Prepared by: Feras Marish and Wissam Eldib
Date: 2008-12-09

Program Objective

Our Objective is to enrich the quality of life for disabled youth and their families in the Greater Toronto area by way of helping to provide opportunities of inclusion to recreational activities and advocate for their rights to greater inclusion and acceptance in recreational and socialization activity programs in their communities and every facet of society.

Our objective will be achieved through the execution of a program called (Angles with special Needs) and will aim at providing the following “at no charge” to the families of the participants:

Spiritual and physiological uplift
Social acceptance
Entertainment

Service provider

Life makers Canada (LMC) will provide a program manager (Wissam Eldib) and volunteers for execution.

The number and gender of the volunteers will depend on the number and gender of the participants. Ideally, we wish to aim for a 1:1 ratio to provide maximum attention and effectiveness.

Program

The program is primarily designed to provide cost-free opportunities of inclusion to year-round recreational and socialization activities.

Our philosophy is that inclusion is the only path to follow to breaking down the walls of exclusion, and also concur with the Declaration of Human Rights which states all human beings without distinction of any kind have equal and unalienable rights to human dignity and freedom. Further, individuals with any disability whether mild or profound have the same basic rights as any other citizen in society.

However, It’s very unfortunate that, youth with disabilities and their families in today’s society are still experiencing unbelievable levels of social isolation and exclusion, especially during the school holidays and weekends. We hope to help improve this situation through this program.

The program will consist of two parts:

Part I: Motivational Speeches

Motivational speeches by Motivational speakers will be arranged to provide a physiological and spiritual uplift to the participants.

Part II: Services

Services will be arranged for the participants such as but not limited to:

Indoor and outdoor Sports
lunch
Movies
Trips: : Museums, Parks, and sightseeing
Bodying with the disabled
Delivering food to the people who could not make it
Networking to find needy/disabled people and building a database
Promote and advertise for the program

Location and Time

.
